In 2004:

Mike finally bought a new car, a Skoda Fabia . I never imagined that one day i'd buy a Skoda. But times change and I'm very happy with it so far. Anyway, the goal was to have something worth installing an MP3 player in. So now I'm happy to finally listen to some of the 80 or so CD-ROMs I made over the last five years.
Mike changed jobs within HP. Not a major change, moving into an OpenCall delivery group.
First real delivery project will take me to the Ukraine next week!

Kaline

Chantal with Kaline, and Java and Sam. Chantal has been looking for part-time work, preferably something to do with horses. It hasn't been easy to find something suitable - i.e. interesting like physio for horses, but without requiring 5 years training. Chantal now has a project to become "Taxi Equin". Basically, transporting horses but taking into account the psychological aspects of it. Chantal hasn't managed to take part in many horse jumping competitions this year due to problems like a broken hand. On the one weekend where she managed to compete she got round with "sans-faute" 2 days in a row, which was not bad.

Java got run over by a car in June (just next to the park where she goes hunting for rabbits). She was unconscious for about 10 minutes. This seems to have calmed her down though she's starting to run away as before ...

Vizille (May)

Mum and Keith came over for a few days in June. This is us down in the park at Vizille (where the revolution started).

School Fete (June)

The school fete at the end of June.
Clara danced in her rabbit costume,
Remy acted the part of a painter.
They go to a lot of effort preparing the fete every year.
It was a bit cold on the day though.

Clara's Birthday (July) on holiday

In July we took holiday camping at Mimizan Plage, Les Landes. Had a nice time overall despite some pretty stormy weather. Mamies Jo and Marraine joined us as well as Francoise, Jean-Yves and Mien.

Holidays in August	We took more holiday in August, taking a week in the south of France. We took Kaline with us this time. Had a great time camping near Narbonne and then at Aigues Mortes (close to Montpelier). At Aigues Mortes there was a camp-site which was like a holiday camp with lots of facilities. Unusually it was right next to a stables. So there was something for everyone.

Can't be hunting rabbits all year long ..... Java on holiday.	I come here as often as I can, to get away from it all ..... Sam on holiday.	Mike trying to be young again on the monocycle. Got inliners for his birthday, which got a few titters around the camp-site. Also started running again ....

Mike, in between showing how young he is, was having fun with new toys enjoying hacking them. It's a sign of the times when you have problems setting the ip address of your DVD player, and then need to reboot it .... Chantal hasn't quite understood the utility of ftping into the DVD player ;-)
There are just so many lovely gadgets today ...

Mike's still going to concerts when he can. I've seen Phil Collins, Patricia Kaas, Norah Jones this year locally.

Halloween	The kids are growing up, errrr, nicely ..... Remy and Clara practising for Halloween. We had a party for Remy and Claras' birthday in October (as Clara hadn't had a party with her school friends in summer). Remy got badly bitten by the dog (Jazz) at the stables. Remy's started judo lessons.
